- Dr. Augustine O Agugua, lectures in the Department of Sociology, University of Lagos, Akoka, where he obtained his M.Sc. and Ph. D certificates in Sociology.
- He has contributed chapters in many books and journals, both within and outside Nigeria. Dr. Agugua has equally presented several papers on burning issues of policy and research interest in various conferences and workshops, locally and internationally.
- He has also been a recipient of several scholarly fellowship awards from reputed institutions of higher learning such as International Sociological Institute, Gorizia, (I.S.I.G), Italy; University of Bergen Norway, Witwatersrand University, Johannesburg, South Africa, and Partnership for African Social and Governance Research (PASGR), Nairobi, Kenya .
- His diverse fields of experiences have enabled him to consult widely for various organizations such as ECOWAS Macroeconomic Policy Unit, and several Non- Governmental Organizations.
- Dr. Agugua’s research interest covers Political Economy, Inter-group Relations, Formal Organizations, Culture and Tourism, and Criminology.
